Arrest made in stabbing death of homeless man in French Quarter

Homicide detectives have arrested one man in connection to the killing. He's booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for second degree murder.

Police have arrested one man in connection to a fatal stabbing in the French Quarter early Saturday morning. 

30-year-old Quinten Passantino was arrested on Saturday and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for second degree murder, officials said. 

Officers were called to the corner of Dauphine and St. Ann Streets around 4:10 a.m. on Dec. 29. When they arrived, they found a man on the sidewalk with multiple stab wounds.

EMS took the unidentified victim to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

According to NOPD officials, the victim's last known address was a local homeless shelter.

The investigation into the stabbing is still active and ongoing. 

Police are also searching for three people who may have information about a fatal stabbing in the French Quarter

According to NOPD, the three people seen in the surveillance video below are "persons of interest" in the case that police would like to interview.

Police are currently gathering evidence to identify others, if any, responsible in the killing.
