BATON ROUGE, La. — A Baton Rouge police officer was struck by a car on Wednesday morning while trying to stop drivers from speeding on Airline Highway near I-110, according to WBRZ.
The accident happened around 10:30 a.m. when the officer was "conducting speed enforcement for drivers going eastbound on Airline Highway".
A car lost control and hit the officer, our partners reported.
The officer was brought to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
