MARRERO, La. — The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that left one man dead in Marrero.
Deputies say they were called to the 6200 block of Lapalco Blvd. at 6 p.m. after a report of gunfire.
When they arrived, they found a vehicle crashed into the median near Sauvage Ave. and Lapalco with a man in the driver's seat. The vehicle appeared to have been struck multiple times by gunfire, according to JPSO.
The victim had at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
