NEW ORLEANS — Update: The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office identified the victim as 45-year-old Kent Anderson on Wednesday.
The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a homicide after a man was shot dead in the Lower 9th Ward Monday morning.
Police say they received the call about the shooting at about 10:31 a.m. that happened in the 1800 block of Charbonnet Street.
The male victim was pronounced dead on the scene by EMS. No further information is available as the investigation is ongoing.
