Man wanted in connection to RTA bus shooting, NOPD says

NEW ORLEANS — A man is wanted in connection to a shooting that happened on city bus on Sunday, NOPD officials said. 

Police said 34-year-old Craig Ferdinand was caught on video shooting a man on an RTA bus in the Desire neighborhood around 6:40 Sunday morning. 

Ferdinand is known as 'Red,' and is believed to be homeless and reside on Claiborne Avenue under the I-10 overpass, police said. 

The shooting, which police said happened on the bus at the intersection of Old Gentilly Road and Louisa Street, left the man injured. He was taken to a hospital, where his condition is currently unlisted.
