According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, Matthew Marsiglia was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for manslaughter.

BATON ROUGE, La. — The Baton Rouge Police Department arrested Matthew Marsiglia for the fatal killing of 26-year-old Westwego man Devin Repath during a bar fight at Fred's in Baton Rouge last month.

According to a BRPD social media post on Wednesday, Marsiglia, 21, was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for manslaughter after allegedly causing the victim's death due to blunt force trauma.

Family and friends described Repath, who was attending a bachelor's party at the time of the incident, as a devoted partner and doting father of two.

A GoFundMe page was started to support Repath’s family. As of Wednesday night, nearly $65,000 had been raised for Repath’s two young children and his long-term girlfriend.
