NEW ORLEANS — The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office confirmed on Tuesday that a man found on April 19 is 34-year-old Chad Verret, who the New Orleans Police Department reported as missing a week earlier.
On April 12, the NOPD issued a 'missing person' alert for Verret, who was last seen three days earlier on April 9 in New Orleans East.
The coroner's report states Verret was fatally shot near Chef Menteur Highway and Industrial Parkway.
The NOPD asks anyone with information regarding this incident to contact Seventh District detectives at 504-658-6070.
