NEW ORLEANS — After a months-long investigation into the killing of a 17-year-old girl, police booked an inmate at the Orleans Justice Center with second degree murder -- his second murder booking in one week.

Kenneth Saulsberry, 20, faced second-degree murder charges for shooting and killing the teen in St. Claude in July on the 4300 block of North Villere Street.

A week ago, on Oct. 24, homicide detectives booked Saulsberry for a February homicide in New Orleans East that killed Bradley Glapion, 32. That shooting happened at the intersection of Lake Forest Boulevard and Bundy Road.

Both second-degree murder counts came while Saulsberry was already inside the Orleans Justice Center for an unrelated shooting in April that injured a man on the 3500 block of Roger Williams Street, near City Park.

Saulsberry had been arrested and booked for the April shooting on Oct. 11, officers believe that another shooter had been involved whom police believe is still at large.
