NEW ORLEANS — Police in New Orleans are investigating a fatal shooting Monday morning.
New Orleans Police Department officers responded to a call at the corner of Burgundy Street and St. Roch Street in the Marigny neighborhood at about 1:25 a.m.
Detectives say one man was shot in the head and was taken by EMS to the hospital where he later died. Police have not yet released the victim's identity.
