NOPD: Three killed in separate shootings overnight

There's no indication that the shootings are related.

NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating three separate overnight homicides. 

The first happened in New Orleans East. Officers were called about a man down at the intersection of Michoud Blvd. and Adventure Avenue around 8:15 p.m. When police arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound.

EMS pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

About thirty minutes later a 49-year-old man was shot and killed on Louisiana Avenue. When police arrived they found the man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital by EMS, where he died. 

A second victim was found in the 3400 block of Willow and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The third shooting happened in the 8800 block of Castle Court around 11:30 p.m.

A woman died from at least one gunshot wound.
