NOPD traffic stop results in 2 arrests, guns and drugs off the street

NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department made a big drug bust that landed the arrest of two men.

The police department says NOPD officers conducted a traffic stop at I-10 and Crowder Boulevard in New Orleans East around 4:50 p.m. on Tuesday.

They say officers noted suspicious material inside the vehicle and obtained a search warrant. Police found firearms, narcotics, weight scales, and other drug trafficking paraphernalia as a result of the traffic stop.

Lawrence Cuiellett, 29, and Justin Bocage, 30, were arrested as a result of the drug bust. In addition to the narcotics charges, Cuiellett was arrested for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
