NOPD: Two people injured in Treme shooting overnight

An initial report from police said a 36-year-old and 43-year-old man were talking to someone when the conversation turned into an argument.

NEW ORLEANS -- Police are investigating a shooting that left two people injured in Treme Saturday morning.

It happened just after 3 a.m. in the 1200 block of North Claiborne Avenue.

An initial report from police said a 36-year-old and 43-year-old man were talking to someone when the conversation turned into an argument. The man reportedly pulled out a semi-automatic weapon and shot at the victims.

Both victims are listed in stable condition, officials said.
