One day after New Orleans chefs made headlines for winning national restaurant awards, some superstar chefs will be in the national spotlight as co-stars of tonight’s episode of NCIS: NEW ORLEANS.

The episode, premiering Tuesday at 8 p.m. on CBS, is titled “Help Wanted” and features Chef Leah Chase of Dooky Chase (winner of the James Beard Lifetime Achievement Award Monday night); Chef John Besh (who presented Chase with her award Monday); Chef Susan Spicer of Bayona and Mondo; Chef Sue Zemanick of Gautreau’s; and Gene Todaro of Marcello’s.

A press photo shows the chefs posing on set for a photo with the stars of the show, including Scott Bakula (Special Agent in Charge Dwayne Pride), Lucas Black (Special Agent Christopher LaSalle) and Shalita Grant (Special Agent Sonja Percy).

According to press materials, in the episode, “a Navy specialist is the target of an explosion while visiting her family’s restaurant, a French Quarter staple for over 100 years.”

The name of the restaurant, visible in some of the press photos, is Zolfo's, an apparent reference to NCIS: New Orleans producer Joseph Zolfo, who now lives in the city with his family and has made it his adopted hometown.

The publicity material say little else about the plot, or the chefs' role in the show, other than to say they are all playing themselves in the episode.
