Congratulations! Two STEM Nola students become National STEM Challenge Champions

The students stood out among more than 2,500 students across the country who submitted their innovative projects to the contest.

NEW ORLEANS — Two bright young minds at a STEM Nola school in New Orleans are now national champions.

STEM Nola has announced two of their students were selected as champions in the National STEM Challenge. They are among the 126 winners in the competition.

More than 2,500 students across the country submitted their innovative projects to the contest.

Naya Ellis, who's a freshman at John F. Kennedy High School, created an affordable watch that can monitor signs of a stroke for people 55 years and older.

Jayden Marion Hall is a senior at Brother Martin High School who created a smart, therapeutic shoe that STEM Nola says connects to your phone and uses special technology to provide continuous pain relief support.

The technology they pioneered connects to your phone through an app, that people can also use to connect with their doctors at any time.
