JEFFERSON PARISH, La. — One person is dead after a fire inside a home in the 800 block of Airline Park Blvd in Metairie Thursday night, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The fire happened around 7:30 p.m. and deputies said the victim was found unresponsive inside the home.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
JPSO said they are working to determine the cause of the fire and the victim's identity.
