Blaze Pizza is the most recent restaurant to close in the Central Business District.

According to our partners at Nola.com, a sign on the door of the O'Keefe Avenue location, last week told customers the restaurant was closed and to visit their Uptown location on Freret Street.

Chairs outside on the patio have been removed and the lights have been out since then.

The closure comes less than two months after TAVA, a popular Indian restaurant known for its award-winning cheese dosa closed. The owner told Nola.com the summer was "brutal."

Other stores in the area also closed, including Arhaus, a high-end furniture store that closed in December. The store is now located at Lakeside Mall in Metairie.

With businesses shutting down, new restaurants are coming to the area. A taco and brunch spot is opening in the Beacon building near the Superdome. Morrow's Steak and Seafood is building at 1001 Julia St. in the Standard, a condo tower that is part of the South Market development, Nola.com reported.

Blaze Pizza is known for its quick-fired pizza pies. The CBD location was a popular spot on Saints and Pelicans game days and offered residents who live nearby a 15 percent discount.
