NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department's mini horse, Patch, was sworn in as an official NOPD officer by Mayor LaToya Cantrell Thursday.
The 15-year-old horse received his own badge and a proclamation from the New Orleans City Council.
It was all smiles as city leaders took photos with the beloved horse at City Hall.
NOPD said a 'Patch' t-shirt will soon be available for purchase.
