Pro-Palestine protesters halt traffic on Poydras Street

NEW ORLEANS — Nearly 100 pro-Palestinian protesters called for a ceasefire in Gaza Wednesday along Poydras Street in downtown New Orleans, according to Nola.com.

Advocates set up chairs, banners, and barricades as they demanded that the U.S. "stop arming Israel", our partners reported. Several protesters were seen holding a "large Palestinian flag" amid traffic at the St. Charles Avenue intersection.
