NOLA Teacher Fest brings out huge crowd of educators at Champion Square

The free festival celebrated educators in New Orleans with free food, drinks and live music.

NEW ORLEANS — Teachers, school support staff and more gathered at Champion Square Friday for the third annual NOLA Teacher Fest.

The free festival celebrated educators in New Orleans with free food, drinks and live music. Hundreds came out to enjoy and listen to Hot Boy Ronald, Roi “Chip” Anthony, and DJ Polo, and win great prizes.

WWL Louisiana's Charisse Gibson was emcee for the festival.

Over 3,000 educators are in New Orleans public schools system.

Last year, the festival gave out $65,000 to teachers during the event to use in their classrooms and over 1,750 people were in attendance.
