A non-profit program called Kicks for the City is collecting shoes for the homeless. It's a part of an international effort to provide sneakers and shoes to the needy.

With this cold weather in the area, an ongoing effort is looking to give the less fortunate a helping hand by addressing their feet.

A non-profit program called Kicks for the City is collecting shoes for the homeless. It’s a part of an international effort to provide sneakers and shoes to the needy.

Since 2016, the program has collected almost 4,000 pairs of shoes and it’s looking for more help.

If you have slightly worn shoes or sneakers, you can drop them off at the New Orleans Jazz Market on O.C. Haley Boulevard.

Kicks for the City will be collecting shoes until this Friday.
