NEW ORLEANS - The popular local chain restaurant Zea Rotisserie and Grill will close its St. Charles Avenue location after being unable to come to a long-term lease deal, the company announced Monday.
The restaurant's last day of operation at that location will be Sunday, June 21.
According to the company, the location has been open since August 2005.
"It is our desire to have a restaurant operating in Orleans Parish, so we are actively searching for an alternative location and hope to have an exciting announcement about a new Zea soon," said Paul Hutson, the vice-president of operations for Taste Buds Management, the company that manages Zea.
The company said that current employees in good standing were being relocated to other Zea locations.
