ST. CHARLES PARISH, La. — Louisiana State Police is investigating a two-vehicle crash in St. Charles Parish that left one person dead Monday morning.

Police say the crash claimed the life of 29-year-old Kentrell Beard of Laplace.

The crash happened on U.S.61 at I-310 around 9:30 a.m.

42-year-old Keith Coleman of New Orleans was driving a 2008 Ford Escape south on US 61 when he lost control of the vehicle, went over the median, and hit a Honda that was traveling north, according to investigators.
