Fidelity bank is accepting donations at all branches

Fidelity Bank and the NOLA Lending Group are now collecting food donations for Second Harvest Food Bank at all 19 branches and offices in New Orleans, Baton Rouge and throughout Southeast Louisiana. See their website for more information on locations at www.bankwithfidelity.com.

CrossFit Roux is collecting and will be used as a drop-off location for donations towards all Baton Rouge Area CrossFit Community members affected by ongoing flooding. We will start collecting August 15 in between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. through the end of this week.

Immediate needs are the following: Cots or air mattresses (with pump) / bedding / pillows / towels and wash cloths/ toiletries (soap, toothbrushes, deodorant, etc) / water / coffee and tea / non-perishable food. Diapers from sizes newborn to 5, as well as women’s hygiene products and gift cards in $20 amount to Target and Wal-Mart. Clothes, baby items, etc.

The Zeta Phi Beta Sorority is collecting money for family and students in Baton Rouge

"The ladies of the Rho Epsilon Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. would like your help to raise funds for families and students in the Baton Rouge area who have been sadly affected by the recent flooding.

We hope and pray to raise $10k and will donate $500 to each family or student to help with the financial burden that they will face while trying to recover from the flood."

Junior League of New Orleans is collecting donations

The Junior League of New Orleans is collecting donations of diapers, feminine hygiene products and gift cards to Wal-Mart and Target to help flood victims in shelters across Louisiana.

"While there are many agencies who will be assisting with those affected by the floodwaters, we asked what we could do as a women’s organization that was different," a statement from Junior League New Orleans President Maria Pardo Huete said.

Donations will be accepted at Junior League of New Orleans Headquarters, 4319 Carondelet St., during normal business hours of 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
