Voters in Tangipahoa Parish will go to the polls on Sat. March 23 to decide races on the local and federal level. Voters in Ponchatoula will be electing a mayor, police chief and a couple of council seats, while Independence will be electing a police chief and an alderman. Kentwood will have a sales tax proposition on the ballot.
Voters across the state who belong to the Republican or Democratic Party can vote in the presidential primary election. Independent voters are not eligible to cast a ballot. WWL Louisiana will have results Saturday night.
