BOSSIER CITY, La. — LSU women's basketball team is set to play in a contest game against Grambling on Sunday, Dec. 8 for the team's homecoming star guard Mikaylah Williams, according to Nola.com.

The team will visit Bossier City, Williams' hometown next season.

“We could not be more excited to bring LSU to Mikaylah’s hometown of Bossier City in December to play Grambling State,” coach Kim Mulkey said in a statement. “Mikaylah grew up there, and it is always special to be able to bring one of our players back to play in their hometown," our partners reported.

Currently, Williams' is the Southeastern Conference freshman of the year. She scored 15 points per game and started 33 contests.

She was also a two-twin Louisiana Gatorade player of the year. Last year she was a non-select state champion in LHSAA Division I.

The contest will be held at Brookshire Grocery Arena, near Parkway High School where Williams played prep basketball.
