Tulane tops Tulsa 94-87 in OT

TULSA, Okla. — Kevin Cross scored 28 points, including eight in the overtime, and Tulane knocked off Tulsa 94-87.

Cross also had nine rebounds and three steals for the Green Wave (11-5, 2-2 American Athletic Conference). Jaylen Forbes scored 20 points and added five rebounds. Tre' Williams had 12 points and was 4-of-7 shooting, including 1 for 4 from 3-point range, and went 3 for 3 from the foul line.

The Golden Hurricane (9-7, 0-4) were led in scoring by PJ Haggerty, who finished with 25 points, five assists and two steals. Cobe Williams added 17 points, four assists and three steals for Tulsa. In addition, Matt Reed had 13 points and 16 rebounds.

Cross scored 11 points in the first half for Tulane, who trailed 44-37 at the break. Forbes scored 10 second-half points, and Cross hit the game-tying layup with nine seconds remaining in the second half to send the game to overtime. Cross was 1 of 1 shooting and 6 of 6 from the free throw line on the way to his eight points in the overtime.
