Saints playoff game date and time set

The Saints will have a first-round bye and play Sunday, Jan. 13.

NEW ORLEANS — The results are in. Following a first-round bye, the Saints will play their playoff game on Sunday, Jan. 13 at 3:40 p.m.

It's the later second-round Sunday playoff game, and the Saints will take on either the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys or Seattle Seahawks in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Although it was a lackluster finish to the regular season against the Carolina Panthers, 33-14 on Sunday, multiple Saints starters will now enter the Jan. 13 game having three weeks of crucial rest.

So, no matter where you find yourself the Sunday afternoon after next, be sure you're near a TV.
