Michael Thomas tweets during loss to Lions, deactivates account after game

Thomas deactivated his account shortly after the game.

NEW ORLEANS — New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas was out for Sunday's game against the Lions but starred on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Throughout Sunday's loss to the Lions, Thomas commented on the game. He tweeted nine times but shortly after the game, his account was deactivated.

His first tweet "AT wide open" had some fans saying he was calling out Derek Carr. Thomas cleared up the confusion with his next tweet, saying,"Y’all said I was throwing shade not at all my eyes just work check yours 😂."

Thomas was placed on injured reserve on November 21 after injuring his knee against the Vikings. The former NFL Offensive Player of the Year will miss three more games. He will be eligible to play in the Saints Week 16 game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Here are all of Thomas' tweets from Sunday's game.
