NEW ORLEANS — Just when it looked like the Saints would slink out of the Caesars Superdome with an odious loss that justified the rain of boos unleashed by the crowd for most of the first three quarters, a funny thing happened, the Saints found an offensive groove, made a huge defensive stand and then lost a chance for a comeback win when the feel good story of the season and hometown hero let a ball drop through his hands.
