NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Two Louisiana men are facing multiple years in federal prison after pleading guilty in connection with a methamphetamine distribution effort.
The U.S. Attorney's Office in New Orleans says in a Thursday news release that 31-year-old Jeremy Dorman of Baton Rouge was sentenced to five years and five months and 37-year-old Justin Swank of New Orleans received a three-year, four-month sentence.
The release says both pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute meth.
Prosecutors said the case began with a tip that Dorman was traveling on Interstate 10 near Kenner in September 2015 with a large quantity of methamphetamine. The drug was found after his car was stopped and searched. Later, Dorman identified Swank as his drug-trafficking associate.
