NEW ORLEANS — A 25-year-old man was shot several times while driving on I-10 eastbound near the Louisa exit Wednesday shortly after noon.

The incident is the latest shooting to occur on or near interstate 10.

Last week a mother of two driving to work from Slidell had her car window shattered by a bullet between the Crowder and Morrison exits heading toward the city.

Over the weekend two men were shot and killed driving on the interstate-10 service road when their vehicle then veered off, smashed through a fence and crashed into another vehicle on I-10 in the westbound lanes between Read and Crowder.
