Search underway for two persons of interest in Plum Orchard homicide, NOPD reports

NEW ORLEANS — Police in New Orleans are searching for two men in connection to the investigation of a homicide in the Plum Orchard neighborhood of New Orleans East.

“On May 19, around 6:30 a.m., Seventh District officers were called to a shooting incident in the 4400 block of Werner Drive. Upon arrival they discovered the victim on the street in front of a residence suffering from at least one gunshot wound,” said an NOPD report.

EMS arrived and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.  The Orleans Parish Coroner later identified the victim as 40-year-old Dominque Jones.

Through investigation, detectives identified the pictured subjects as persons of interest in the investigation. They are not wanted in this shooting, but detectives believe they may have information pertinent to their case.
