Truck hanging over canal in Metairie

A semi stuck on a U-turn at Clifford and W. Esplanade in Metairie has blocked the entire street for an hour.

METAIRIE, La. — A semi-truck was stuck for about an hour in Metairie Thursday morning.

It was blocking West Esplanade heading toward the causeway. Photos showed the truck hanging close to the canal.

The truck was trying to make a U-turn at Clifford Avenue and the West Esplanade Canal.

The truck was gone around 12:30 p.m.
