Heading to Jazz Fest? Here’s where to park

Parking is notoriously difficult during Jazz Fest. Your best option depends on how much you can walk, wait, or spend.

NEW ORLEANS — Jazz Fest 2024 has begun, and as always, parking is tough to find. Here are your options:

Jazz Fest Express shuttle

This year, the festival is offering shuttles from “the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel (Canal St.), Steamship Natchez Dock (French Quarter), Wisner Lot (in City Park) and a brand new location at South Market District (Poydras St. at Loyola Ave.)”

The Wisner Lot is located at 5700 Wisner Blvd. Parking is free. Shuttle tickets are $20 from the Wisner Lot and $24 from all other pickup points.

Nearby organizations

Several churches, nonprofits, and schools near the Fairgrounds sell spaces in their parking lots during Jazz Fest to raise money.

Cabrini High School is sold out of advanced tickets but reserves some spaces for day-of parking ($50, 1400 Moss St.). All money goes toward the school.

Deutsches Haus ($20, 1700 Moss St.) and Our Lady of the Rosary ($40, 3368 Esplanade Ave.) also offer day-of parking.

Unofficial lots and street parking

Plenty of nearby homes and businesses offer parking during Jazz Fest and street parking is always an option, albeit one that takes some luck and willingness to walk.

Keep in mind– you cannot block any bike lanes or driveways and must be at least 15 feet from any fire hydrant.
