Water Outage and boil water advisory for parts of St. John the Baptist Parish

The outage will begin tonight, starting at 6 p.m. and the water will remain off for six hours to help the water system rebuild capacity.

ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH, La. — A water outage is in effect for some St. John the Baptist Parish residents. Officials said the outage is scheduled for those in Reserve, Garyville, and Mt. Airy due to the recent hard freeze.

The outage will begin tonight, starting at 6 p.m. and the water will remain off for six hours to help the water system rebuild capacity.

Those in Reserve, Garyville, and Mt. Airy are also under a boil water advisory until further notice. Officials said residents in the area should bring water to a rolling boil before consuming until notified of the BWA lift.

Officials said residents parishwide should continue to conserve water by turning off running faucets and only using water for emergencies.
