NEW ORLEANS — Colleen Seeley is native to the Northshore area and resides in the heart of New Orleans. Her energy, creativity and tenacity merged with the support of others led to years of success in the performing and visual arts. She began dancing before she could walk, played the violin in the youth orchestra and performed the saxophone professionally as a teenager traveling across the country. Her passion for traveling both domestic and internationally continues to expand her perspective and understanding of other cultures which influences her diversity as an efficient communicator. Colleen's love of adventure has paved the way toward navigating life's roadways with confidence and grace!

Colleen’s parents inspired her to go the extra mile by demonstrating exemplary volunteerism in various organizations. She is a passionate advocate for community involvement and personal development, which led her to becoming the founder of her own business, Ignited Fusion. She recognizes everyone is on their own journey through life, and it can be as smooth as using cruise control or a hot mess hitting potholes along the way to their destination. As a freelancer, Colleen is involved in experiential marketing, content creation and corporate events.

Colleen attended Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge to study political science through the United States Navy. After that, she transitioned to the LSU system to study sports administration and health behavior between Baton Rouge and Shreveport. While in Shreveport, she was a personal trainer and fitness class instructor for LSUS. She then became the co-founder and head coach of Christus Strength, a Children’s Miracle Network program while simultaneously competing as an Olympic weightlifting athlete.

In 2016, Colleen took an alternate route to news, beginning as the camera operator, floor director and desk assistant for WWL-TV / WUPL-TV. In 2017, she began filling-in as the traffic anchor for the morning show. In the same year became a familiar voice traffic reporting for iHeartRadio stations in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Gulfport-Biloxi, Mobile-Pensacola, Hattiesburg-Laurel, Jackson, Birmingham, Nashville, Norfolk and Greenville. She then became the co-host for Local Lens New Orleans in 2018 highlighting events. During the 2020 Mardi Gras season, she began her gig as a host of Bacchus, showcasing the parade, covering the king’s toast at Gallier Hall and revving up event attendees for the Bacchus Rendezvous! Her passion for fitness came full circle landing emcee gigs at the US Olympic Trials and MLB All-Star Game, along with local festivals and events supporting our community.
