FBI investigates CBD bank robbery

No information about a suspsect was provided, and the FBI did not say how much money was taken.

NEW ORLEANS — The reported bank robbery took place in the 300 block of Carondelet Street in the Central Business District sometime Wednesday afternoon, but authorities gave few details.

Federal authorities are working with the New Orleans Police Department to investigate the robbery, but under most circumstances the FBI is automatically appointed as the lead agency for any bank robbery in the U.S.
