NEW ORLEANS — One man is dead and two other men were wounded in three shootings across New Orleans on Sunday.

The homicide and other shootings happened within three hours of each other at three different locations in the city.

The first shooting happened around 7:41 p.m. in the 3300 block of Toledano Street. Police report that responding officers found a man with a gunshot wound to the knee when they arrived. He was taken to the hospital by EMS.

Then, at around 8:02 p.m., an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg arrived at a local hospital in a private vehicle.

Investigators determined the shooting happened sometime earlier in the 10000 block of Dwyer Road.

A short time later, around 9:38 p.m. Fifth District NOPD officers responded to a call reporting a man down in the 3500 block of Ursula Spencer Way.

When officers arrived, they discovered an adult male victim suffering from an undetermined number of gunshot wounds the NOPD report says.

The victim died at the scene.

The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will determine the official cause of death and release the victim’s name once an autopsy and notification of family are complete.

Homicide Detective Maurice Stewart is leading the ongoing investigation.
