SLIDELL, La. — The Boeing Charitable Trust has donated $100,000 to help recovery and relief efforts in Slidell, the company announced Thursday.

The funds will be given to the Northshore Community Foundation's Weather Relief Fund to provide supplies, assistance, and resources to those most impacted by the storm.

“Amidst the devastation, we extend our support to those enduring this terrible hardship,” said Cheri Carter, vice president of Boeing Global Engagement. “Boeing is committed to working alongside local partners to provide meaningful assistance that will help expedite healing and recovery.”

The company also has gift-match programs where the company will match a qualifying employee's contributions to support tornado relief efforts.

"Northshore Community Foundation, in partnership with Boeing, is dedicated to helping our Northshore neighbors who are working to rebuild following the storm. Their contribution to our efforts in the disaster relief space is deeply appreciated and represents a commitment to our region,” said Leslie Landry, president and CEO of the Northshore Community Foundation.
