NEW ORLEANS — We know. This is a tough Super Bowl for all of us. We all know the Saints should be there.
But the game is on Channel 4, and we think there are still good reasons to watch the game.
So, taking a page from our old CBS friend David Letterman, here are the top ten reasons to watch Super Bowl LIII.
Top 10 reasons TO watch the Super Bowl
1 – At least the Saints can't get screwed in THIS game.
2 – Forget about the national ads, wait'll you see the local ones poke fun.
3 – New drinking game--count the blown calls.
4 – Those anti-Rams voodoo dolls, will they work?
5 – It's funny to watch that guy keep yanking the ram's coach around the sidelines.
6 – Because you bet on it, (duh).
7 – To see if the power stays on the whole game.
8 – Because you bought all that party food.
9 – There will be Saints fans in the crowd, look for the snark shirts.
10 – Because you can only eat so many pints of ice cream and binge so many Netflix shows.
While the list is obviously tongue in cheek, one woman we talked to reminded us we need to cheer on a New Orleans musician who will play in front of billions Sunday night.
P.J. Morton, the keyboardist for the mega band playing the Super Bowl LIII halftime show, is a New Orleans native. So, the city will have some representation on Sunday.
